What Causes Blisters On Hands, feet And Finger Tips After Taking Azithromycin For Cough?
Started with Azithromycin for cough, immediately broke out into blisters on hands, feet, back and finger tips. Went to PCP who issued methylprednisolone and amoxicillian. Four days later returned to PCP, who referred me to emergency. Now have blisters and oozing finger tips, some fingers turning purplish black.. Bottoms of feet have blisters and have sever blisters popping up on body..
Sorry to hear of your sickness. On the basis of the history you provided it looks like you have got a sever allergic reaction to azithro.
The description you described indicate a more serious reaction more likely steven johnson syndrome.i would suggest to stop Amoxil and urgently move to ER, as you may need admission and iv steroids and fluids.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
