What Causes Bloating And Continuous Diarrhoea In A Child?
Hello im cassy a mother of a 16 month old.
My daughter has had diarrhea for a while now. Its been 5 days as of today. She got ill 6 days ago with vomiting on sunday morning. I took her to the e.r n the doctor just told me to give her powerade for 24 hours n if she didnt stop vomiting to take her back. She stoped but the next day on monday thats when she got the diarrhea. ive been giving her apples, babananas,blueberries,toast n keeping her off the dairy products. Recently ive noticed she sometimes cries as if shes in pain. Idk if its her stonach or if shes teething. I checked her teeth but dont really see anything. She wakes up in the middle of the night n starts crying in pain. Her stomach looks a bit bigger than usal too. What could it be n should i take her to the e r again?

Abdominal distention in child with diarrhea may be due to hypokalemia or metabolic acidosis.
For pain abdomen you may try Cyclopam syrup.
Prevention of dehydration and adequate nutrition must be looked into.
Better consult your doctor again.
