I have been bloated for the last month. It has been so bad my back and neck hurts.I am a 65 year old male and very active.I do have a fib which I have been in constantly now for 2 months.Am waiting for a new procedure called n contact.Do you think it could be the a fib causing this problem.Doc says its IBS.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Bloating of abdomen for a month could have been well investigated so that a proper diagnosis can be done and manged accordingly. To say this to be due to IBS you have to have all the relevant investigations of the blood, stool, urine, CT scan of abdomen and colonoscopy and upper GI Endoscopy. Hence get all these done so that if a problem is found , say like intestinal infection as course of an antibiotic, metronidazole can help you. If all the investigations are normal then this can be treated as IBS that is irritable bowel syndrome and a control of stress and anxiety, avoidance of the instigating foods and beverages can help a lot. This is most probably not related to Fibrillation as you have asked for. Get a Proper Cardiac evaluation, examination and investigations to get a proper management.
