What Causes Bloating Of Stomach?

I feel bloated, havent had a decent bowel movement, and have gas...no cramping or nausea, but the feeling last for days if not weeks and it has been an ongoing problem. I also feel as if my food never goes all the way down, instead it sits in my Throat and I also feel full after a couple bites...what could this be?

hello, I have read your question thoroughly.

Feeling bloated is related to "gastrointestinal motility" which means the propelling ability of intestine to push food contents towards the anus to be excreted.

Gastrointestinal motility is related to a few factors which can either increase it or decrease it.

Factors which increase gastrointestinal motility and ultimately decrease bloating include: taking regular walks or any form of physical exercise;jogging would be the best remedy, bringing about changes in dietary habits; more starchy foods such as fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, dry fruits, nuts. A tea spoon of Husk could be very helpful. The above mentioned life style changes resolve the problem of bloating and heaviness of stomach in a vast majority of patients. if however the problem still persists then Medicine like gastrointestinal prokinatics( domeperidone) could be tried but only after consultation with your physician.

Factors which decrease gastrointestinal motility and increase bloating include: sedentary life style, taking high refined corbohydrates such rice, refined flour, more meat, and caffeinated drinks. So all these factors should be eliminated or minimised as much as possible.

I hope you found this helpful.

best regards
