I have had urinalysis done two separate times recently, one week apart. On both instances, it was found that I had blood in my urine as well as bilirubin. My initial complaint was cloudy urine that was light brown in color. I also had blood work done last week and my protein levels in my blood are low. No nausea or pain, although I do have intermitten twinges on my right side under ribs. I had my GB removed about 2 years ago and a week following was found to have an E-Coli abscess near the surgical site. I had an ultrasound of my abdomen, paying particular attention to liver and kidneys, but the results aren't back yet. Any ideas what could be wrong?
As per my surgical experience, this narrates possible underlying infective hepatitis for various reasons with secondary manifestations.
In our clinic, I recommend ultrasound with particular emphasis on the liver, bile drainage system, kidneys, and lab tests to conclude liver and kidney function along with infection components.
