What Causes Blood Discharge After Strained Bowel Movement?

I strained to to express stools this morning and found blood on the front of the toilet seat, this is the 2nd time this has happened and I also would have a enlarged prostate , I am 64 years old
I did not feel this happen I did not even feel it happen.

As you mentioned you have problem of blood in stool after excessive straining at toilet time that may be because of hemorroid problem or other reasons.

Consult a gastroenterologist for further diagnosis.
Detail history and investigation give exact idea about problems.
If you have problem of constipation than stool softner can use for it.
