Hello, I have been suffering with lower back pain. I have had back pain for 27 years. I was diagnosed with having herniated disk and two spurs. Here lately(last few months) It has been giving me a little more trouble, such as pain and numbness I also saw blood in my stool today.. also I had a sister and cousin die from colon cancer and have another cousin with colon cancer. IF you had a colonoscopy 4-5 years ago, then colon cancer is less likely unless your doctor told you you needed to have your colonoscopy again sooner than the usual 10 year interval. The blood in your stools could be hemorrhoids, or from a tear in your sphincter. If this persists, however, you should talk to your doctor about it.
