Hello, my daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 2 . It has only been 10 months since she was diagnosed, and we have had our ups and downs with regards to controling her blood sugar levels, she see her endocrinologist regularly and her last blood test came back in normal range. This evening when she went to the bathroom she had blood in her stool when i wiped her. I cleaned the area 3 times and on the last swipe, the tissue was clean. What could possibly cause this?
Oh blood may be due to polyp in her rectum. Juvenile polyps are very common and may cause bleeding per rectum. Its good that her sugars are okay. Go see a pediatric surgeon. He will see the cause of bleeding PR
