What Causes Blood In Stool After 2 Days Cycling Ride?

I have experienced noticeable blood in my stool 2 days after going on a strenuous 2 day cycling ride. I do not bike regularly, am fit, and this is the longest ride I have ever done. For the last ten miles of the ride, my anal region was sore. Is this something I should be worried about?

it is possible cycling cause pressure of the anus and surrounding region and caused hemorrhoids to becoming irritated. everyone has hemorrhoids, they become bothersome when engorged. make sure stools are soft and formed, avoid straining for bowel movements. increase water and fiber intake (fruits and veggies or fiber supplement) . if does not improve 2-4 weeks consider seeing primary doctor for rectal exam.
