Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Blood In Stool After A Tailbone Injury?
I fell hard onto my tailbone. There is no fracture but It is bruised and I have a lot of pain. I do get some numbness now and then. I also noticed that I now have blood in my stools. I have been have bowl movements at least three times a day. It's been a week since the fall.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, pain and the swelling or the bruising could be due to soft tissue injury now you will have to wait for healing and it may takes more than a week, symptoms of blood stained stool may not be due to history of fall but it could be due constipation or diet, unless it is being confirmed it is nothing to worry, but try to change the diet, drink more water have fiber containing diet, I would suggest to see the orthopedic surgeon hope this information helps.
