Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the last 4 days I've had dark red (maroon) colored blood with my stool. (Gross) I'm 52, female. In school for an advanced degree so fatigued all the time (I have a reason!), but also my nails have an odd yellow cast to them. Don't smoke, drink one 4 oz wine on occasion. Slightly underweight which is normal for me. Mother died from colorectal cancer at 67. A wee bit paranoid. Oh, extreme headaches for the past five years, getting progressively worse...migraine. Never had headaches before this. Probably nothing. No pain, a lot of gas. Geez, Maalox and Mylanta have my number! Thanks for your thoughts. Tracy
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, you have seems to have multiple complaints and non of them seems to be due to any pathology but it may be nonspecific, first if this is the blood stain stool then it may be due to food or diet taken, it may be due to constipation, ideally it needs to be confirmed clinically because to know the underlying cause of this is important as long as management are concern, but it is not the malignancy, even the migraine is also a kind of functional disease, I would advise you to come out of this condition hope this information helps.
