What Causes Blood In Stool Day After Eating Meat?

I am a student, and my board exams start from tomorrow. I passed blood while excreting today. Approximately it was about 5-8 ml. This is not the first time it has happened. It happened 4-5 times in September, once or twice in October, once in November and now. Earlier I was told that it may be because of constipation and I have observed that the day after I have meat, blood pases through the feces. Is is a serious matter? Can I start treatment in later months?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

A possible reason for blood in stool is a flare-up of hemorrhoids from ingestion of nonveg stuff. Needs proctoscopy examination with your consultant surgeon for the precise diagnosis and further management guidelines. You can wait till the end of exams but should avoid nonveg till that period.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
 Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
