My husband had a heart attack at the end of September. He is on 5 proscriptions . One is a blood thinner . He has a cold and started taking coracedin . He has had 4 bowel movements which look like they have blood in them . He says he does hurt anywhere . We will go to the Dr tomorrow. I thought this was free ! I guess I will wait until tomorrow .

Hi,

Suggestive of gastrointestinal bleeding. Blood thinner induced condition it seems to be.

Based on the history given, your husband seems to be suffering from gastrointestinal bleeding apparently resulting from interactions between blood thinner and other medicines including Coricidin.

He should be immediately taken to the hospital for proper clinical assessment and treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
