Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Blood In Stool With History Of Anal Fissure?
For a good month or so, there was a lot of blood in my stool. After using some medicated wiped for a while, it eventually stopped and my bowel movements went back to normal. Recently, however, the blood began to reappear. And today I found little red strings in the toilet with my stool. I ve never seen this before and am quite concerned. I should also mention that I had an anal fissure about seven years ago, but it eventually healed after using medicated wipes.
Hello dear user! I have gone through your query and understood your concerns! Thank you for sharing them on healthcaremagic. Have you any other symptoms, such as pain, burning, difficulty during defecation? Is the blood in the stools fresh, and not mixed to the feces? Since you have had a history of anal fissure, it is more possible to have a relapse of this pathology. Presence of anal fissure and hemorrhoids should be evaluated, so I would kindly recommend you to have a meeting with your doctor at your healthcare center for a closer objective examination. I hope this answer was helpful to you! Please kindly rate it as helpful and write a short review about your experience with me! I would appreciate that a lot. Thank you and best regards! DR ERIOL.
