have been waitiing for 3 months to have a colon check. have blood in stools. now - someday tummy is puffy and tingly. today viens in neck tingly. do not know on how to get into doctor sooner. they say I have to wait another 3 weeks. How do I word that I need to see the doctor.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Since there is blood in stool, this needs to be checked as soon as possible. If you are not getting a proper appointment consult your Primary care Physician - PCP or a Family Doctor to have proper guidance, geta reference letter to the Gastroenterologist so that a proper ano-proctoscopy, colonoscopy can be done to get the proper diagnosis for correct plan of management. Also get the stool and blood tests and if there is an evidence of infection getting a prescription based antibiotic active against intestinal infection, metronidazole and probiotics may solve your problems. If there are hemorrhoids proper medications and surgery if indicated will help you get a cure. A visit to ER that is emergency room may help early diagnosis and proper management.
