What Causes Blood In Stool?

Hi I saw a light red blood while I use a toilet. It never happened before. And the blood was kind of too much. I visited the toilet twice today and still there wad blood with my stool. I don t have that much stomach pain or any other pain. Of course am having yhis weird kind of pain on my upper chest part, I was diagnosed with GERD few years ago and I get the chest pain sometimes. And then the Doc. Told me that my osophageous has some rushs from the acid reflux, Other than that I don t have any other symptoms.

Hello
I share your concern
Blood in stool is a matter of concern
Looking at your description, it might be related to coagulation disorder, liver disease like cirrhosis, intestinal disease like polyp, fissure or fistula in Ano and hemorrhoids.

In my opinion you should go for certain investigation like blood for hemoglobin, CBC, ESR, liver function test, PT INR, stool test for occult blood, an ultrasound or colonoscopy if need be.

Meanwhile You should avoid fatty fried and junk or spicy food
Have fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet.

You may require iron infusion or blood transfusion if you have lost a significant amount of blood.
Complete avoidance of alcohol and smoking .

Hope I could answer your question, please feel free to ask for follow up question, I will gladly answer you.
Best wishes
