What Causes Blood In Stool?

I am currently a white male that is 20 years of age and have a male partner. A couple weeks ago I was at the hospital because my stools were bloody and it hurt to go to the bathroom. I was told it may be constipation and skin tags because the stool had blood on the outside of it. There was also a possibility of hemorrhoids. Then a couple of weeks later I now have bumps on the outside of my anus. What is the cause of the blood continually being there and what may I have?

Hi,
As per your history and descriptions, it seems to be a external hemorrhoids.

You must consult general surgeon for complete history and thoroughly clinical examination.

You may require routine blood and stool examination, with proctoscopy to have a accurate diagnosis and the positions of piles.

Treatment is depend upon the degree of piles.

1st and 2nd degree piles can be managed conservatively means without surgery.

You may require topical steroids, oral antibiotics (ofloxacin with ornidazole),antiinflammatories, antihistamines and laxatives or purgatives.

Avoid oily and spicy foods.

Hot seitz bath with diet containing high fibers will be beneficial.

If 3rd or 4th degree piles then surgery would be the best way of treatment.
