What Causes Blood In Stools?

I'am 32yrs old female suffering from ibs since 1 year.... Recently found blood in stool.... What may be the reason for this? Is it due to excess heat in the body... I'am really worried... And also have reduced 7kgs in past 1year.... Plz advice? Thank you...
