What Causes Blood In Urine And Pain In Lower Back?
My husband urinated today and blood was in his urine. He has been suffering for 2 weeks with flare up of an old sports injury that left him with a herniated disk. He had pain down his leg which is normal for him when this pain comes back but could the blood in his urine have anything to do with low back pain (we assumed it was his hern. disc) He does not have pain any where else, just lower back. Thanks for any help you can give me. We are quite upset.
hi, any blood in urine should be taken seriously. get him checked by a urologist who will suggest some blood and urine tests and a sonography at the least. most common causes are urine infection and urinary stones. but other serious causes need to be ruled out as well. the leg pain may or may not be related. take care.
