What Causes Blood In Urine With High Protein Levels?

My son started having blood lots of it in his urine even clots at times. The doctor put him on several rounds of antibiotics and it stopped but they have ran more tests and he still has protein there he don't go to the specialist until next month, it has gotten to where he can barely hold his bowels and sometimes can't is this his kidneys and what could it be?
