What Causes Blood In Urine?
My husband has a large hernia in the stomach and has pain and is also passing blood in the urine. He does have a kidney stone that may be moving. We have an appointment to see a surgeon Tuesday...should We not wait this long to get him to the doctor?? No fervor .

hi,greetings from Hcm.Blood in urine has to be investigated.Painful heamaturia can be due to urinary tract infections ,injury to kidney, any instrumentation in urinary tract,kidney or bladder stones.Painless blood in urine or heamaturia is due to kidney or bladder tumors,blood disorders like sickle cell anaemia,BPH,or certain drugs which produce coagulopathy.you have consult Urologist and undergo various investigation like urine microscopy ,blood tests,ultra sound ,Urogram to clinch the diagnosis and start treatment
