What Causes Blood In Urine?

I went to urinate and my urine had blood. I am 75 tears old, feel great, no back or kidney pains and was totally shocked. That happened last night before I went to bed. During the night, I urinated 3 times and everything was normal, When I woke up this morning, my urine was normal but after an hour, I decided to go again and this time I passed red urine and a burst of congealed blood? General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

You need to get a few tests done. A complete urine analysis, urine for culture and sensitivity, an ultrasound examination of kidneys and bladder with a full bladder and post void residue, a urine examination for cytology should be minimum.

Take plenty of fluids, and depending on the results if your investigations, you may need further tests like CT scan, cystoscopy, tests for bleeding and clotting function.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
