What Causes Blood While Urinating With A Bad Stomach?

Hello, my partner had a bad stomach and kept needing to pee. When he was going to the bathroom it was painful and eventually a little black thing came out along with some blood. It has never happened before so we just wanted to check if anything was wrong.
