What Causes Body Flutters?

I had major body flutters while sleeping and really felt like fainting, and my heart was racing so fast i thought i was having a heartattack in bed. I went to the doctor today he said nothing to worry about, I still have this throbbing in the back of my head. what causes this to happen? I had this afew times before.
