What Causes Bowel Cramps And Diarrhea After Drinking Beer?
Hello, thank you so much for doing this.
I'm 20 years old and I live in Belgium, so drinking is legal for me since when I was 16.
I've always loved beer and drank it a lot.
But since a couple of months, I can not drink beer anymore without having heavy cramps in my bowels the next morning. I often wake up because I'm in pain. There's often diarrhoea involved as well. What causes this sudden change and how can I stop it? I prefer not using medication.

Heavy cramps in drinking beer, making you wake up in the morning with pain in abdomen and diarrhea indicates that there is something in beer that your intestines can not tolerate.
This is as simple as this hence you have to stop drinking beer and see if this is helping or not.
If stopping beer does not help there may be associated reasons for which you have to undergo a clinical evaluation by a Doctor, preferably a Gastroenterologist, get the stool and blood tests done and get a proper diagnosis and get treated accordingly.
No beer or any other alcoholic beverages at the moment.
Also find out if there are any foods or beverages that are instigating or enhancing such problems and stop these altogether.
Prevention is better than cure.
