What Causes Bowel Incontinence?
I am a 51 yr old woman in good health. However, twice in the last six weeks I have had a small amount of bowel movement and was surprised to see it when I went to the bathroom, still not realizing I had gone. Should I be concerned and if so, concerned about what? Please help; I m a wee bit panic-stricken.

Sometimes, it is common if motion in liquid consistency. Few patients with bouts of coughing may cause raise intra-abdominal pressure may cause leaking.
Dysentery or colitis or gastroenteritis may cause leaking. Chronic Constipation or Parkinsonism or spinal cord problems may lead to incontinence.
Nothing to worry, please consult your physician, he will examine and investigate and treat you accordingly.
