Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi i have just undergone an incisional hernia repair which didnt go to plan. It was supposed to have been done by keyhole surgery but resulted in having to have an incision as my bowel was so sticky. I would like to know what causes the bowel to be llike this as i was told the same thing when i had a husterectomy 7 years ago. Is there anything i can do myself ?
You could be wrongly understood or wrongly informed because the intestine has their own texture which is a little sticky but not that much that sticks to other organs.
The surgeon must have faced some difficulty at both the time but that does not mean your intestine is sticky, I would say that just forget it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
