What Causes Breakthrough Bleeding While On The Pill?
So I m on the pill and I skipped my period last month. I was also on antibiotics (cephalexin) about 2 weeks ago. I am now in the middle of a pill pack and experiencing some break through bleeding. I also had unprotected sex a week after I was off the antibiotics. I m wondering what is causing this break through bleeding? Is it because I skipped my period or because the antibiotic is making my pill infective? Should I be worried about pregnancy?

You should not be worried about pregnancy , as breakthrough bleeding is one of the common side effect of oral contraceptive pill.
Also antibiotics do not interact with action of contraceptive pills.
