What Causes Breathing Difficulty And Burning Sensation During Anxiety?

I've been having deelings of anxiety, and I am in the last week of a job I've gotten laid off from. I have suffered from anxiety in the past, but now I've been having issues breathing at night. I feel a slight burn when I exhale, and a very dry cough that is making staying calm, let alone trying to sleep, very tough. I also had a bronchitis/possible pneumonia in late November that I thought I kicked. I do breathe easier in a steamy shower. I just want to know if this is allergies, and infection, or just my head.

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. I suggest you not to worry much. Please understand that anxiety is such a disorder, it can make so many weird symptoms anywhere in your body. In reality, anxiety triggers obsession. Anxiety is fear of something which may or may not be true or may or may not happen in the future.

Brain (mind) is made for its own functions and its duty is to think. Therefore you cannot stop it from thinking. But you definitely can control the way it thinks by diverting its attention to more demanding things. Creative thinking should help brain diverting. If you try to forcefully overcome obsessive thoughts, it will come back every now and then and disturb you more vehemently.

Psychotherapy techniques should suit your requirement. If you require more of my help in this aspect, Please post a direct question to me in this URL. http://goo.gl/aYW2pR. Make sure that you include every minute details possible. I shall prescribe the needed psychotherapy techniques.

Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications.
Good luck.
