Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Breathing Difficulty In A Heart Patient?
I am 82 and had a series of massive heart attacks. My heart was deemed too weak for open heart surgery. So they put in two stents. Later a cardeologist had a llok at the back of my heart after two stress tests and found a third closed aretry so a third stent was put in. I then went to a nursing home and had two hours physical therapy six days a week and felt better. Several weeks later they sent me home. Now I get an hour of therapy three days a week while attatched to a EKG device designed to monitor me while I exercise. I spend a solid hour with no breaks on their machines. I drive myself home and need a nap of an hour or more. My major problem now involves breathing when walking. Does this all make sense?
I think you are now with chronic heart failure and difficulties in breathing are related to it. If there is a new problem for you, I think you should see your doctor, and he can make you cardiac sonography, may increase your diuretics drug dosage. If these are not a new problem, you should limit a little more your physical activity.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Anila Skenderi
