What Causes Breathing Difficulty When Suffering From GERD?
Hello i m 43 years old female a smoker and have Gerd for the last couple of days it feels like I loose my breathe for a second like when someone sacres you.This happen to me before and went to dr and they found nothing wrong with me.This happens when I m a woke and sleep. I don t drink coffee but do drink tea.can you help?
Smoking itself can cause GERD as well breathing difficulty. You should stop smoking to see if this helps. GERD can cause inflammation of the pharynx and enhance the feeling of heaviness in the throat, feeling of burning and suffocation and so on.
Take a proper treatment for GERD in the form of a PPI like Omeprazole, Domperidone and an antacid when on empty stomach. Take small frequent meals of soft bland diet. Avoid stress and anxiety and any other factors that cause you any symptoms. Stop worrying.
