What Causes Breathlessness With Neck Pain?
My mother just got out of the hospital after being in there for a week. She is a diabetic, and has heart disease. She has had several mild heart attacks in the past, but went to the hospital for neck pain and shortness of breath. She wakes up in the middle of the night and can't breathe. The diagnosis was pretty much a little pneumonia. Okay so this morning, after being home for one night, I call her and my brother said she was having trouble breathing this morning. When I talked to her, she couldn't hardly speak without taking breaths...she sounds worse than before she went to the hospital. Is there any idea as to what is going on with her? I love my mom dearly, and am really concerned for her life. Please help...

If her breathing is that labored and she already has heart problems she should go back to the hospital to be reevaluated.
