Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi

Welcome to the HCM

I understand your concerns but don't worry. It can be due to local bacterial infection known as furuncle or hemangioma. Anything definitive can be said only after proper clinical examination. Hemangioma occurs due to vascular malformation. It doesn't require any immediate treatment. In most cases it gradually improve with age. Sometimes it may persist and need surgical treatment for cosmetic reasons. Furuncle needs proper antibiotic treatment for proper resolution.

Hopefully this will be useful.
Take care
