What Causes Brown Colored Mucus In Stool?

I found brown colored mucus with stool. I have had an overactive bowel sounds. A few days later the mucus was yellow in the stool with lower abdominal pain. I also have chest pain. Last night I had rectal pain and pelvic pain until the morning. What could be going on?

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. It appears your colonic bacteria is changed leading onto increased gas formation, which is causing lower abdominal pain along with overactive bowel sounds.
2. This could have caused hypermotility resulting in brown colored mucus.
3. Due to straining, rectal mucosal rupture might have occurred, which has resulted in rectal pain and radiating pelvic pain.
4. This pain and stress has caused possible gastritis. You need to take probiotics and yogurt. For gastritis, antacids should be helpful. Take meals at regular intervals and have adequate hydration.
