What Causes Brown Phlegm Behind Tonsils At Back Of Throat?

Every morning I have brown phlegm lodged behind my tonsils at the back of my throat. It only happens after i wake up and thats when I notice that its there. Could this be coming from eating too much chocolate and acid reflux, second hand some, or an STD?

As per your clinical history it appears that you are having Post nasal discharge due chronic sinusitis.

If I were your treating doctor, I would advice you
Plenty of fluids , Steam Inhalation twice daily, Saline nasal spray thrice daily ,
Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Montelukast combination &
antibiotic Ofloxacin + ornidazole .

I would also like to advice investigation like Diagnostic Nasal endoscopy to know extend of disease .

Here my suggestion is that you should consult your ENT doctor for thorough examination, necessary investigations and treatment.
