What Causes Brown Vaginal Spotting During 5 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
Hi, I am on the 5th week of my pregnancy. The home pregnancy kit tests were positive and I did BHCG as well which confirmed the same. I have been having white discharge which turns yellow later on the pad from the day we had intercourse (on the day of Ovaluation of the last period). I am also noticing few brown spots (a drop or two) during evenings after walking and prenatal Yoga. Is this normal? I did a home test again yesterday (after couple of days of spotting) and it s positive.

Vaginal discharge is a slight viscous liquid produced by vagina which prevents colonization of bacteria & thus prevents infection. It also helps in self lubrication of vagina. vaginal discharge increases when women becomes sexually active, this might be the case.
As you have clear to yellowish discharge without any itching or irritation, this is normal.
However spotting is more concerning. Spotting in you is mostly linked to sexual intercourse causing trauma to cervix & hence spotting. Spotting during early symptom can be a symptom of threatening miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy & should not be ignored.
Refer to your gynecologist. You would be having a sonogram, to rule out ectopic pregnancy or other problem
