What Causes Bruises And Bulging Veins While Using Meth?

I am a meth user and my way is shooting it up. I have notice that in the last 3 days of using, I have noticed bruises and quarter size knots or bigger with bulging veins running down from finger tips to bottom of my feet. Since I have noticed these new simptoms and stopped using will they go away and what is it?

Hi,

The bruises and the bulging veins are due to inflammation of the venous lining and due to extravasation of blood in the surrounding tissues. This is common in people who shoot drugs intravenously frequently. Now that you have stopped, you can expect these to gradually heal and go away.

Best wishes.
