What Causes Bruising Near The Armpit Post Pacemaker Implantation?

On Wednesday I had a pacemaker implant, was discharged on Thursday. I noticed when I came home that I had a lot of swelling and bruising between my armpit and under my breast has some discolouration as well. I am sore underneath between my armpit and breast.I am taking blood thinners. I am 72 years old and am female.

Hello,
This is just from the trauma of the pacemaker insertion. Whenever they put in the pacemaker, they have to cut through the skin and there is some bleeding. After that if you lie down or when you sleep that blood will follow gravity and may end up in the armpit.
Nothing to worry about unless it does not resolve. Warm compresses may help
