What Causes Bruising On Wrist After An Injury?

I had a fall yesterday and my wrist / hand area received the brunt of the fall. I have been checked out by Emergency department staff and there are no breaks. What causes bruising to show up 24 hours after the injury . I have been icing and taking Motrin.

There were minor haematomas under skin which generally got color changes and appear as bruise.This is natural course of minor haematomas under skin. nothing to worrying about .
