General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a separated shoulder. The shoulder blade actually moves downward from the weight of the arm. This creates a bump or bulge above the shoulder. The injury can range from a mild sprain without a bump to a complete disruption with a very large bump. I suggest to do an X-ray of the shoulder and see an orthopedist for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
