What Causes Burning Sensation After Urination?

I have a burning sensation down there after I wipe when I go to the bathroom. It will linger for some time after wiping and by the time it stops I need to go wee again and the burning will start all over. Could it be the toilet tissue that is irritating me? There isn't any burning when I shower or anything only after I wipe (front to back). Also haven't had intercourse in about a week.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query.Your problem can be due to urinary infection or concentration of urine. When urine get concentrated uric acid concentration can give such symptoms. It is better to have a urine routine examination and a culture if there is findings from routine. If there is infection antibiotic therapy will help you.If it is urine concentration problem then increase your water intake. You can take cranberry juice and barley water which will help in alkalizing urine and relief from such symptoms.I also advice my patients with potassium citrate or sodium citrate to alkalize urine.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
Thanks.
