What Causes Burning Sensation And Numbness On Lower Back?

hi Dr,im 40 year old mother of a 8 yrs old kid,weight 85kgs,height 5.2,experiencing burning and slight numb feeling on the lover back right side and runs down to calf mussle..its a severe pain and cant stand up for 5 mins even,what could have happened pls reply.

Thanks for your query.

Symptoms that you are having are likely to be due to a nerve root compression at the level oflumbar spine. You need to get an MRI scan of the area done and consult a neurophysician for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Since there is only numbness of the affected area it suggests that the affection of nerve root is only minimal.
Such minor symptoms are usually taken care of by Methylcobalamin supplements which you can take after consulting your orthopedician
