What Causes Burning Sensation Behind Knee After Taking Ibuprofen For Swelling On Top Of Knee?

Hello, I was walking last saturday holding my three year old and I fell on the ice, my three year old fell on top of my knee. since then I have had pain, swelling. I have been resting it and using ibuprofen and icing it. Today behind the knee it feels like burning. what causes the burning? can I wait until monday for a doctor or should I go to the ER?

Cause could be due to nerve compression or deficiency of vit b12. Through clinical evaluation is required to reach the diagnosis. taking methylcobalamin supplements will be helpful.To have better relief, drugs like gabapentin are helpful. But these are prescription medicines and are best if taken under the guidance of your neurologist.
