What Causes Burning Sensation During Urination?

It s been a week that After I pee I get a burning sensation and that feeling won t stop until I make it. Also I been noticing that when I wipe myself there is a pink coloring on the toilet paper. I am now concerned because last night I woke up at 3am from a stomach ache and I went to go pee but this time when I wiped it appeared to be a red discharge perhaps blood. It looked like tissue or mucus. Can someone help me please?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to a urinary tract infection.

I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.

I also suggest to do a urine test to confirm the diagnosis.

If the diagnosis is confirmed, I suggest to use a cycle of antibiotics such as Ciprofloxacin twice a day for a week.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contappct me again.

Kind regards!
