What Causes Burning Sensation In Eyes?

just the other day I woke up to a very bloodshot eye that actually was a slight burning. I purchased over the counter eye drops that helped the burning. Well, today the same thing has happened in the other eye, very bloodshot and slight burning sensation. Is this normal ? 68 in s. carolina

It most probably bacterial conjunctivitis. I t is contagious so is bilateral. it can infect others who comes in contact with you. Use ofloxacin .3% eye drop 6hourly. maintain hygiene of eye, keep yourself secluded. Your linen and towel should not be shared. Slowly you will improve. Put on a dark dark glass or else it hurt when you look at sun.
