What Causes Burning Sensation In Stomach And Blood In Stool?

a few months ago I started having a burn in my stomach and a bloody stool, I stopped drinking diet soda and the burning seems to have stopped but the blood is still happening, some days very light other days heavy. I plan on going to the Doctor as soon as I can.
