What Causes Burning Sensation In Stomach For Months?
Hi I am sadagopan from Chennai. I am having stomach burning/pain daily for the past 1 - 2months. The pain gets reduced in15 - 30 after eating some food. Again it starts in another 2 to 3 hours. I am taking Roles-20 and Zintac for the past one month. Still it didn't get cure. Please suggest what should i do ?
Hi. Thanks for your concerns. Noted the history and understood your concerns. The pain in abdomen that settles with eating but recurs indicate gastric ulcer. Since it is not responding to Roles 20 and Zintac for the past one month I would advise you the following: Get an appointment of a Gastroenterologist. You need an upper GI Endoscopy and H pylori tests. Tests of blood and stool. Ultrasonography of the abdomen. All these will an appropriate diagnosis so that a proper treatment can be done. Take soft bland diet. No alcohol or tobacco in any form. Small frequent diet. Antacid every three hours, particularly when on empty stomach.
