In all probability you are having Gastritis with oesophagitis, due to the gastric acid reflux into the lower part of the esophagus while in the reclining position. An upper GI endoscopy is required to diagnose the extent of the condition. Please avoid alcohol, and all foods that increase gastric acid level, like spices. Avoid fasting. You should consult a gastroenterologist who would do the endoscopic examination and decide on the management, whether medications will cure or if any surgical intervention is required.
