What Causes Burning Sensation On The Foot?

My name is jo and I have suffered for 5 years now with severe burning sensations in my feet. It has been accompanied by inflammation and joint stiffness. At times I get numbness and tingling so sever I feel like I am recovering from a crush injury. These episodes last most of the night in my hands and arms. My bloods appear normal except a consistently high CPR level. They thought I had rheumatoid arthritis ( which proved to be a wrong diagnosis) and I have just had bilateral Mormons neuromas removed ,however although short term relief was achieved in my feet due to cortisone as soon as it wore off the intense burning and pain in my feet returned. I am 52, female , fit and active. I eat well although probably 5-10 kg overweight The symptoms seem to always be there although for no apparent reason the weakness associated with the inflammation seems to be more extreme over three or four days at sometimes more than others. In desperate to get to the bottom of my condition. Prior to this I was running 5k every day, was strong and pain free. I have always suffered from Rls and its worsened with the feet pain and cramping. Please consider my symptoms as the last doctor suggested hormone replacement therapy which I do not need as I m now 4y post menopause and as an ex nurse I know my symptoms are too extreme to be put down to my age in life. Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear Madam,
Thanks for seeking help on your issue; I have gone through your symptoms, and in my opinion, you should screen your self with blood sugar level and repeat the arthritis tests, its not true that you have RA only when the test come out positive, as in many instances they may be negative in the initial phases. your symptoms are an indication that not all things are normal. consulting a gynae doctor for the prospect of using HRT is better than taking decision yourself that you don't need this treatment, I appreciate the fact that you are a nurse, but let me assure you consultation with an experienced doctor will surely help you.
I hope I have been able to provide you with a satisfactory solution, if you want to clear any doubts about my opinion, feel free to contact.
Special note- Any medication prescribed needs to be taken after consultation with your personal doctor only.
Thanks
