What Causes Burning Sensation While Urinating?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...My 7 yr old daughter has been complaining of burning after she urinates but we sent her to the doctor and no bladder infection. Could this be a urinary tract infection and would that show up also with the test?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Yes, it can be a mild form of tract infection.

She needs to be given an antibiotic course and Cranberry juice extract tablet for five days.

Advise her to take lots of water and fruit juice.

Avoid the intake of excess spicy foods.

Within a few days, she will recover fully.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
